The village bed of this batch is a whole village that was rebuilt around its guests. 什进村 Shíjìn Cūn, Shijin Village, sits in 三道镇 Sāndào Zhèn, Sandao Town, in the middle of 保亭黎族苗族自治县 Bǎotíng Lí Zú Miáo Zú Zìzhì Xiàn, Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County, on the road between the county’s two 5A parks. The Bulongsai rural cultural tourism zone takes the village whole: 587 mu by the Hainan Daily’s 2017 account, a place that is, in the paper’s phrase, both a scenic area and a village, with more than 50 buildings holding 62 Li-style hotel rooms, a pick-your-own field, a boardwalk restaurant and a farming-experience ground. Some villagers have let their own villas to the company to run as guesthouses, and the bed this article sells is one of those, or a room in the resort’s Li-style blocks a few steps away.

The model has a name and it is the point. Bulongsai is built on what the provincial press calls the greater-scenic-area-plus-small-town pattern: Hainan Sandaowan’s tourism company invests, the villagers put their land in as shares, and the same villagers work in the company or run the rooms, a three-way arrangement the Hainan Daily described in December 2017 and again in February 2018. The numbers the paper prints are the model’s receipts: before 2009 the village’s per-capita yearly income was a little over 2,000 yuan, and by the late 2010s it was past 10,000; villagers working in the scenic area drew about 1,800 yuan a month on the 2018 line. The 2017 and 2018 accounts agree on the shape of the place – more than 50 buildings, 62 Li-style rooms – and this article prints that official vintage with the note that today’s live inventory is whatever the platforms happen to list.
The rebuilding is where a careful reader should slow down. When the village was taken down and put back up, the roofs of the new villas were shaped after the traditional Li boat-house, the long upturned form of the old island houses – a quotation from the tradition rather than the tradition itself – and the old thatched houses went into a village-history museum instead of staying in use. This is a new village wearing its ancestry on its roofline, and it is deliberately not the same bed as the two older Li-dwelling stays elsewhere on this site, where guests sleep inside a surviving stilt house or a boat-shaped house kept in service. In 2022 the news agency reported the next stage: some families had let their own villas to the company to run as guest accommodation, and 119 mu of the village’s paddy had been reworked as landscaped field. The farming experiences – planting, weeding, a fish pond – are there and worth a morning; the county’s crops belong to the food column of this batch and this article keeps to the beds.

The rooms come in two ledgers and the platforms disagree on both. Ctrip files the Bulongsai resort hotel at 4.7 across 432 reviews, addressing it as 500 metres diagonally across from the Yanoda gate, and separately files a Bulongsai tropical-rainforest villa hotel at the Yanoda branch at 4.1 across 138 reviews with rooms from 833 yuan, a four-star tag and the phone number 0898-32308999; the two are almost certainly one property under two shelf names, and this article prints neither as a second house. A September 2026 comparison piece, working from the Meituan listing, puts the Bulongsai villa at 4.7 with rooms from 421 yuan, 500 metres from Yanoda, an infinity pool, garden views and Li folk experiences, noting that the review sample is thin at 137. So the same bed is quoted at 421 and 833 yuan on two platforms in the same season. The village’s household option is the Bulongsai Jinyue guesthouse at number 15 Shijin village, a two-star on Ctrip reading 4.4 across 43 reviews with rooms from 269 yuan – a family’s house turned into a guesthouse, which is the model in its plainest form.
What the Rooms Are Like
Room types here are village types. The resort’s Li-style blocks and the villagers’ converted villas share a look – the boat-shaped roofline, a courtyard, a garden – but not a price, so book by the shape you want and the shelf name you buy it under. The counts travel on an official vintage: 62 Li-style rooms across more than 50 buildings was the Hainan Daily’s 2017 figure, and no live platform page prints a room count today, so this article carries the official number with its date and leaves today’s inventory to the listing. The Jinyue guesthouse is the household-scale option, a few rooms in a family’s own rebuilt villa, which is exactly the arrangement the model was designed to produce. Ask which door your booking opens when the shelf name is one of the two Bulongsai tags.
Practicalities
Price. On 1 October 2026 the snapshot read: the Bulongsai resort hotel at 4.7 across 432 Ctrip reviews, the same village’s villa hotel at 4.1 across 138 with rooms from 833 yuan, a September 2026 Meituan-based line at 421 yuan, and the Jinyue guesthouse from 269 – a band of roughly 420 to 830 for the resort rooms before the household option. Festival weeks firm it. Every figure is a snapshot that floats.
Address. 三道镇什进村 Sāndào Zhèn Shíjìn Cūn, Shijin village, Sandao Town – the resort’s own platform address is 500 metres diagonally across from the Yanoda gate, and the Jinyue guesthouse is at number 15 in the village; the resort phone is 0898-32308999.
Rooms. Decide between a Li-style room in the resort blocks and a room in a villager’s converted villa – the same roofline, a different host – and buy the shelf name you mean: two Bulongsai listings on one platform resolve to what is almost certainly one property, so do not book both. Confirm breakfast and whether your rate is a resort rate or a package.
Getting there. No railway station serves the county; the practical railheads are 陵水站 Língshuǐ Zhàn, Lingshui station, about 45 kilometres out, and 三亚站 Sānyà Zhàn, Sanya station, about 74, both snapshot distances to check against navigation. By car, leave the Wuzhishan-Baoting-Haitangwan Expressway, expressway S10, at the Sandao interchange, which opened on 15 June 2022 and lands traffic on the town’s doorstep; the expressway’s Baoting stretch opened on 31 December 2020 and the full line on 26 March 2021. By bus, the Sanya-to-Sandao coach runs from Sanya’s bus station at 11 yuan and about 50 minutes by the Binglanggu park’s own English-language line, and the Ting-haoyou tourist loop links Yanoda and Binglanggu from the county seat. The stretch is thin on public transport – travel notes advise self-driving and the loop’s frequency is unverified – so the honest plan is a car, or a coach plus a short taxi, with both 5A gates three to five minutes and about 500 metres from the door.

Where to stay: a Li-style room in the resort blocks if the village-as-hotel idea is the point, a room in a villager’s converted villa if the model’s household end is the point, and the Jinyue guesthouse if the plainest version is enough – all in 三道镇什进村 Sāndào Zhèn Shíjìn Cūn, between 呀诺达 Yānàdá and 槟榔谷 Bīnlánggǔ.
flowcloud would say that a village which put its old roofs back on new walls has done the honest thing with a tradition it could not keep whole, and that the correct way to sleep here is in a household room with the garden door open, because the fields the guests walk by day are the same fields the family still farms at dawn.
