Yǐn yán: Sōng jiān yī zhù, xīng kōng yī fáng; shān quán yī pào, chūn yè bù zhī hán. — One house among the pines, one room under the stars; one soak in the mountain spring, and the spring night knows no cold.
Songjian Xiaozhu (松间小筑) is the small guesthouse at the foot of Mingyue Mountain, built around the two things the mountain has and the county seat does not: dark sky and spring water. The star rooms face the ridgeline away from the town’s light, and the bath houses draw on the mountain spring — the combination is aimed squarely at the weekend escape from Chongqing’s basin heat, and at the walkers who come down off the ancient road at dusk.

The guesthouse lives on the mountain’s shoulder — arriving after dark means a dark road, so come up before sunset or let the host meet you. Summer weekends are the trade; the spring-fed baths are the reason people rebook. The walkers’ pattern is afternoon up the ancient road, evening soak, dawn attempt at the cloud sea.

flowcloud would say that the county’s luxury is not marble but a spring-fed tub and a sky the basin city cannot show you — and the pines keep the secret.
Where to find it: at the foot of Mingyue Mountain west of the county seat, on the mountain’s shoulder — arriving after dark means a dark road, so come up before sunset or let the host meet you. All checked October 2026.
