Sleep Inside the Stone Streets: Hexia Old-Town Stays
石板巷深灯影旧,一夜河下入梦来 Shíbǎn xiàng shēn dēngyǐng jiù, yī yè Héxià rù mèng lái – Deep in the stone lanes the lantern shadows are old; one night, Hexia walks into the dream
正文:河下古镇住宿 Héxià Gǔzhèn Zhùsù the Hexia old-town stays are Huai’an’s character address – courtyard guesthouses and small inlets converted from canal-era houses, tucked along the stone streets of the old quarter where lanterns, flagstones and bridge views carry the stay. Stock is small and books fast on weekends: a handful of courtyard rooms, a few design-renovated houses, and homestay rooms above the shops.

The courtyard format is the point. Rooms open onto small courts with timber frames and brick walls, breakfast comes local, and the night sounds are footsteps on stone rather than traffic. Renovations keep the bathrooms modern while the bones stay old.
The Stays
The courtyard tier is the converted canal houses: carved doors, timber beds, tea served in the court – the pick for travellers who came for the town itself.

The renovated tier is the design inns behind the main street: new plumbing in old shells, quieter rooms, and the stone street two steps away – the comfort pick that keeps the setting.
The homestay tier is rooms above family shops: simple, warm, and priced for long stays – the budget pick with the best morning conversations.

The Stays

flowcloud would say a Hexia room is the town at pillow height: stone underfoot, lanterns past the window, and a morning that starts with tea in a courtyard. All checked November 2026.
Where to stay: Courtyard rooms number in single digits at most houses, so reserve ahead for Fridays and festival weeks – stone floors mean soft slippers are worth packing, and mornings bring residents’ tea culture right past the door. The quarter quiets by eleven, parking sits outside the stone streets, and luggage wheels on flagstones are a known trade. All checked November 2026.
