You step out of the lobby and the sand is twenty metres away, the South China Sea running flat and bright to the horizon, and a warm wind lifts the smell of salt and grilled seafood from the beach bars behind you. The 深圳大梅沙京基洲际度假酒店 Shēnzhèn Dàméishā Jīngjī Zhōujì Dùjià Jiǔdiàn curves along the bay like a long white wave, its rooms terraced so that nearly every window catches water, and you understand at once why people come here purely to stand on a balcony and do nothing at all.
Set on the golden beach of Dameisha in Yantian District, this is one of the few true beachfront resorts in Shenzhen — backing directly onto a public stretch of sand while keeping its own quiet private strip of shoreline. Hills wrap three sides, so the bay feels enclosed and calm: a pocket of resort life about an hour from the city’s towers, and a genuine shock when you remember you are still inside Shenzhen.
The Rooms
The rooms lean modern-luxury — coffee tones, pale wood, and balconies wide enough for two loungers and a breakfast you eat while watching the fishing boats work the bay. The Classic rooms are comfortable and garden-facing. The Deluxe Sea View and the suites are where the hotel earns its name: the bathtub is set against the glass so you can soak with the entire bay in front of you. Family rooms and the “undersea exploration” themed sea-view rooms come with bunk beds and enough playful detail to survive a week of children.
Book by height as well as category — the terraced floors mean an upper Deluxe sees the whole crescent of the bay over the pool roofs, while a lower one sees mostly the pool.
What Makes It Special
The water is the headline. Six indoor and outdoor pools include a children’s pool with a waterslide and the signature infinity edge that frames the ocean like a postcard. Beyond the sand, the hotel sits minutes from the Dameisha Waterfront boardwalk and a short drive from the mountain trails of Wutong Mountain and the tea terraces of OCT East. Three restaurants cover Cantonese, an international buffet and a seafood grill on the terrace — best taken at sunset, when the water turns the colour of a peach and the grill smoke starts drifting across the pool deck.

Practicalities
Price. Around ¥1,800 to ¥3,500 a night for a sea-view room, with suites from ¥4,000. Packages bundling breakfast and dinner usually work out better value than booking a la carte, and midweek nights outside summer holidays can drop well below the headline rate.

Getting there. Shenzhen Metro Line 8 to 大梅沙站 (Dameisha Station), about 800 m or a 12–15 minute walk along the seafront; buses 103 and 239 stop at the Meisha Street Office stop. From Luohu Port it is roughly a 35-minute drive; from Bao’an International Airport about an hour. Driving is easy but weekend parking in Dameisha fills early — arrive before noon in summer.
