The rail quarter is the transit play: Jinhua station feeds Hangzhou in under an hour and Yiwu in twenty minutes, and the hotels there run 24-hour desks for early trains. Between the two poles, the old riverside lanes keep a thin layer of family-run inns – noisy, cheap, and minutes from the breakfast stalls that fry subing at dawn.
