The register is holiday rather than business: resort blocks with lake-view kings, homestead rooms above the fish restaurants, lawns that step down to the sand, and the specific hospitality of a shore that lives by its sunsets. Summer fills the bathing beaches; the shoulder months hand the lake back to the guests – quieter sand, lower rates, and the same gold hour every evening.
