Luoshuai Village Stays, One Guesthouse the Size of a Village

The village bed of this batch is a village. 罗帅村 Luóshuài Cūn, Luoshuai Village, sits in Yuanmen township at the foot of the Yinggeling nature reserve, 56 Li households and 203 people ringed by mountains with 97 per cent forest cover, Fairy Creek running past the doors – the county’s own introduction calls the air that of a natural oxygen bar. In 2010 the Hainan Tianya Post House tourism company took the village on whole and rebuilt it on a premise the introduction prints almost verbatim: not one tree cut, not one blade of grass moved. The arrangement that followed gave this article its title – each farm household keeps one or two rooms of its own house to run as guest accommodation, and the whole village is one big guesthouse.

The credentials are national and the plant is specific. The village carries the five-star rating of the national leisure-agriculture and rural-tourism scheme, a national civilized village title and a Chinese minority characteristic village listing. Its built core, on the county government’s own 2019 introduction: the Luoshuai Rainforest Resort, a quasi-four-star house of 36 standard rooms – the platforms’ property page prints 40 rooms and suites, and both counts travel here unreconciled – plus 15 villas with 108 beds in total, a farmhouse restaurant seating 260 at one sitting, two meeting rooms and parking for 70 cars. Two openings belong to two different things and both print: the village tourism operation started in November 2011, the resort’s own building went up in 2013. On the county’s figures the operation had taken past 500,000 visitors in all, about 120,000 a year, with village per-capita income at 9,283 yuan by 2016 – numbers from a 2019-dated introduction, quoted with their vintage.

The daytime programme is the point of sleeping here. The village’s own experiences, priced by travel-note figures that are now years old: brewing Li rice wine and tasting yu-cha, the fermented fish the county eats like a relish, at about 80 yuan a head; the long-table banquet from about 100 yuan a head, needing a group to book it; riding at the Tianya Post House’s Najie racecourse from 60 yuan; and the walk up Fairy Creek, the stream the travel notes also call the Nanchuan river, a Nandu tributary. The road in passes the Jiujialing pass viewing platform – free, all hours, and the February kapok on those climbs is another article’s subject – and the village pairs with the Baisha Uprising first-shot memorial park and the Hongkan waterfall on a day loop.

What the Rooms Are Like

Two kinds of bed share the village. The resort’s own rooms run to the quasi-four-star standard of the 36-room house – standard rooms, and a 55-square-metre deluxe suite the platform page prices at 1,288 yuan with breakfast while marking it not bookable online, phone consultation only. The family-kept rooms are the model’s real point: one or two rooms in a farm household’s own house, plain and close to the kitchen smoke, most with breakfast by the travel notes. No live platform score page exists for the village – its online distribution is thin, which is itself part of the deal: book by phone, expect simple, and let the creek do the decorating.

Practicalities

Price. No live online quotes exist as of 1 October 2026 – the platform’s suite line is marked unavailable at 1,288 yuan with breakfast, phone 66675218 to consult – and the last public travel-note figures, from 2021, put an overnight at about 200 yuan a head. Ask at booking; print nothing firmer. Every figure here has already floated.

Address. 罗帅村, Luoshuai Village, 元门乡 Yuánmén Xiāng, Yuanmen township, Baisha Li Autonomous County – the platforms file the resort as the Tianya Post House tropical-rainforest leisure villa at the same village.

Rooms. Decide which of the two beds you are buying: a resort room with the star count, or a family house with the household next door. Ask whether breakfast is in the rate, and whether the long-table banquet can be raised for your group size – it needs numbers.

Getting there. From the county town the village is about half an hour by car to the south – a travel-note estimate; navigate – on the G361 and ring-tourism-highway direction; there is no shuttle, so come by self-drive or charter. The loop works: the first-shot memorial park and the Hongkan waterfall sit on the same line, and the Jiujialing pass platform is on the road in.

The village stream at night, warm window light from timber stilt houses falling across the water, stone stepping paths and ferns along the banks, a deep starry sky above the black rainforest ridge, no people in view

Where to stay: a resort standard room if the 36-room house’s quiet is the point, a family-kept room if the whole-village-as-one-guesthouse model is the point, and the deluxe suite only by phone if the group needs the 55 square metres – all in Luoshuai village, Yuanmen township, under the 97-per-cent forest cover of 鹦哥岭 Yīnggēlǐng.

flowcloud would say that a village which refused to cut a single tree has been paid back in the currency it understands, and that the correct way to sleep here is in a family house with the window open, because the creek has been rehearsing the same piece since before the road came and still gets it right every night.
