Accordion City Base: Where to Sleep in Tacheng Town

塔城市 Tǎchéng shì Tacheng city is the prefecture’s living room – the border city of accordions and old brick, where the rooms you pick decide how much of it you actually hear (worth confirming the details for the season, since the city hotels fill for the summer festivals and the bloom-season spillover from Yumin). The town is compact: the Red Mansion quarter, the morning markets, the accordion museum and the border avenue all sit within one evening’s walk, and the best hotels bank on exactly that.
