万州北站 Wanzhou Běizhàn is the district’s high-speed rail hub, where more than 100 daily trains arrive and depart. Staying by the station is the practical choice for visitors who land in Wanzhou by rail and head straight out to the waterfall and the cliff town.
The area around the station is functional rather than scenic — a grid of newer buildings, easy taxi ranks, and rooms oriented to the traveler passing through. It is where the rail line meets the city.
For a short stay the convenience is the point: step off the train, drop your bag, and reach the waterfall or Tianshengcheng without crossing the whole district. You sacrifice the river and the lanes for a doorstep on the rails.
