Yǐn yán: Mù xī zhī yè, jiāng pàn guān jǐng; yī xiān rè shuǐ, xǐ qu chén fēng. — A night at Muxi, watching the river from the room; a soak in hot water, the dust of the road washed away.
Muxi (木夕美宿) is the design-conscious option in the county town: a boutique stay occupying the upper floors of the Rongrong building on Furong East Road, trading on two things the big hotels cannot manufacture — river-facing rooms and in-room soaking tubs. It sits in the mid-price band between the station business hotels and the mountain resorts, and its guest list skews towards couples and weekenders rather than tour groups.

The building’s position means the “river view” is the Wujiang’s upper reach through the town — respectable at dusk, when the lights come on along the bank, less dramatic in flat midday. Ask for a high floor on the river side; the road below is quiet at night but the mid-floors catch the echo. This is the stay for the night you come down off the mountain and want a bath rather than a minibus.

flowcloud would say that after a day in the karst the correct luxury is a hot bath and a river going dark outside the window — and Muxi sells exactly that, floor twelve.
Where to find it: the 12th floor of the Rongrong Building on Furong East Road, river-facing over the Wujiang’s upper reach through the county town. All checked October 2026.
