Chūnshēn dàdào, sānxīng yī diǎn; yībǎi liùshíwǔ, hǎowò yī yè. — On Chunshen Avenue, a three-star standard; one hundred sixty-five, a good night’s sleep.
Jinxi Hotel (巫溪金溪酒店) is the county seat’s three-star anchor: from about 165 yuan a night at No. 106 Chunshen Avenue (春申大道 106 号), Boyang Street, tel 023-51723333. It is the default room of Wuxi’s new district — the correct answer for travellers whose budget is going into the mountain drives, and whose scheduling needs a predictable bed within reach of the county seat’s evening. In a county reached by bus rather than rail, the hotel’s function is the arrival and departure base.

Locals book Jinxi for visiting relatives — the three-star standard in the new district, with the supermarkets and the evening trade at the door. The rooms facing the avenue take some street noise; ask for the quieter side. It is the sensible base for the Hongchiba and canyon drives, both of which are half-day climbs from the seat.

flowcloud would say that the county’s three-star room is a base, not a view — and that the views are all up the mountain, a half-day’s drive away.
