The expressway bed of this batch is the county seat itself. 白沙黎族自治县 Báishā Lí Zú Zìzhì Xiàn, Baisha Li Autonomous County, is a province-managed autonomous county in the central-western mountains of Hainan – no county-level children under it, one county town doing the work of downtown, 牙叉镇 Yáchā Zhèn, Yacha Town, and ridge after ridge of tea garden and rainforest around it. The beds sit where the island’s newest mountain road runs out: the Danzhou-Baisha Expressway, expressway S11, ends at the Yacha interchange on the town’s western edge, and the town’s chain-hotel band – a Lavande, a City Comfort Inn, a GreenTree Inn and a Yesta standing shoulder to shoulder along Yacha Middle Road – waits at the bottom of the off-ramp. Nightly prices run from about 160 to 370 yuan, which makes this the cheapest door into Hainan’s rainforest national park country in this batch.

The road is the fact that makes this band possible, and the dates matter. The Danzhou-Baisha Expressway opened on 29 December 2020 – 36 kilometres of four-lane road, 21 bridges and 4 tunnels through the hills – and it ended Baisha’s history as a county with no expressway at all, cutting the run from Danzhou’s Nada district from about an hour to twenty minutes. Hainan builds its expressways without toll booths – the province has folded road funding into its fuel levy since 1994 – so the twenty-minute mountain run costs nothing at the ramp. The Yacha interchange hands traffic to the G361 national road, the under-construction Shiyun-Baisha expressway, the ring tourism highway and Yacha Middle Road itself, and the town’s landmarks sit within a stroll of the hotel band: Moon Lake park, Jinsha square and the county’s cultural park are all walkable from most of these doors.
Two houses anchor the band. The Lavande Hotel’s Baisha county-government branch stands at 344 Yacha Middle Road, a comfort-grade house the platforms read at 4.8 with rooms from about 347 yuan. The City Comfort Inn at number 191 is the county’s word-of-mouth leader – 4.9 across 405 Ctrip reviews, with the hygiene, facilities, environment and service sub-scores all at 4.9 – and its platforms file it under two shelf names, the county-government branch on Tongcheng and the bus-station branch on Ctrip, at the same address: one house, two tags, and this article prints neither as a second property. The brand’s upgraded 4.0 kit is the reason for the score: smart-room controls, robot delivery, automatic toilets, self-service laundry and a run of cinema king rooms with a large projection wall and a streaming membership built into the rate.

The rest of the band fills the ladder. The GreenTree Inn at 163 Qiaonan Road reads 4.7 from about 197 yuan with smart controls and robot service; the Yesta International at 366 Yacha Middle Road, 4.8 from about 218; the Hongxing Grand Hotel by the finance bureau, 4.6 from about 189 with card rooms and a meeting hall; the Tianyi Hotel at about 161, the floor of the county’s price ladder, with EV charging in the car park. At the top of the in-town band the Olympic Village Hotel on Aoyun Road reads 4.9 from about 368, an upscale house with a garden terrace and tea room. The counter-anchor prints too: the Baisha Borui Boutique Hotel at 368 Yacha Middle Road, opened in 2018, carries Ctrip’s lowest county score, 2.7 across 42 reviews – the gap a decade of chain standards has opened in a small market.
What the Rooms Are Like
No opening year is published for any of these houses – the Borui’s 2018 is the one dated exception – so this article prints none. The City Comfort Inn’s ladder is the explicit one: advanced smart king and twin rooms, the projection king with the streaming membership, a smart family room laid out as two bedrooms with a living room, and a family suite at the top. The Lavande runs its standard chain ladder – standard and deluxe kings and twins, a senior landscape king, a leisure suite and an executive and deluxe suite – and the Olympic Village adds garden-terrace space at the top of the in-town ladder. What the band does not have matters as much: no five-star flag, no resort pool, and no international brand – those live at the estate and the lake in the other articles of this batch.
Practicalities
Price. On 1 October 2026 the snapshot read: Lavande from 347 yuan (4.8), City Comfort Inn from 358 (4.9), GreenTree 197 (4.7), Yesta 218 (4.8), Hongxing Grand 189 (4.6), Tianyi 161 (4.7), Olympic Village 368 (4.9) – an in-town band of roughly 160 to 370 yuan. Festival weeks firm the rates. Every figure is a snapshot that floats.
Address. The band sits on and around 牙叉中路 Yáchā Zhōnglù, Yacha Middle Road: Lavande at number 344 (phone 27519999 on the Tongcheng listing), City Comfort Inn at number 191 (phone 27713888), Yesta at 366, GreenTree at 163 Qiaonan Road, Tianyi at 217 Baofa Building, Olympic Village at 8 Aoyun Road. Moon Lake park is the walking-distance landmark; pin by street number, since the shelf names drift between platforms.
Rooms. Book the projection king or the two-bedroom family room by name at the City Comfort Inn – the smart kit belongs to specific room types, not to the house. Ask the Lavande for the landscape king if the ridge line is the point. And check which shelf name your booking shows: both tags resolve to the same 191 Yacha Middle Road door.
Getting there. Self-drive, take expressway S11 from Danzhou – about twenty minutes from Nada – and leave at the Yacha interchange; from Haikou allow two to three hours, an estimate; navigate. By bus, the Hainan Bus group’s intercity shuttle from Baisha town to Haikou East railway station runs 9-seat business vans door to door, hourly from 6:00 to 18:30 with returns from 7:00, at a promotional 78 yuan (list 98) since 11 February 2026. By rail there is no option: the county has no passenger station – the freight line through Bangxi carries no trains you can book, and the oft-cited Haitou station remains unopened, the provincial development-and-reform commission replying in July 2025 that its daily passenger count would not cover its losses – so ride the ring high-speed line to Danzhou’s Baimajing station and continue by car. The Shiyun-Baisha expressway, whose 8.2-kilometre Yinggeling tunnel – the island’s longest – broke through in January 2026, is due to open at the end of 2026 and will cut about forty minutes more off the Haikou and Sanya runs.

Where to stay: a projection king at the City Comfort Inn if the county’s best-reviewed bed is the point, a landscape king at the Lavande if the ridge line should be the last thing you see, and the Olympic Village if the garden terrace is worth the top of the band – all within one stroll of Moon Lake park in 牙叉镇 Yáchā Zhèn, the county town where the island’s newest expressway ends.
flowcloud would say that a county which waited decades for a road now sells the end of it by the night, and that the correct way to sleep here is low in the band with an early alarm, because the tea gardens and the crater start their day before the chain hotels start their breakfast.
