Sanhe Lake Wetland Park (三合湖湿地公园, Sānhéhú Shīdì Gōngyuán) is a 4A-rated (February 2023) wetland park on the new-development side of Dianjiang, and the district’s free, flat, everyday green: a ringed lake with a loop path, restored wetland planting, and a March flowering of 美人梅 (meiren plum, the blossom that opens pink before the leaves). Where the flower parks up in Taiping and Xinmin are excursions, Sanhe Lake is where the county itself walks in the evening.
Dianjiang’s eastern new district was laid out around the lake rather than over it — the wetland was kept as the district’s public room, with the loop path as its furniture. The planting is working wetland: filtration beds and marsh species doing quietly what a water-treatment plant does loudly, while the meiren plums and the lakeside willows do the part everyone photographs.
The loop is the county’s evening constitution — families, runners, and the old men fishing off the banks. March is the plum window and the park’s busiest fortnight; summer evenings are for the loop and the breeze off the water. There is no ticket and nothing to buy; bring an hour and comfortable shoes.
