Shīchéng yī jiē, dōnglù bāshísān; sānguó yī guǎn, qiānzǎi yī shī. — One street of the poem city, No. 83 on the east road; one hall of the Three Kingdoms, a thousand years of poetry.
The Kuizhou Museum (夔州博物馆, Kuízhōu Bówùguǎn) is the county’s 4A-rated (September 2019) museum — free, at No. 83 Shicheng East Road (诗城东路 83 号), Kuimen Street — and the object-record of the “poem city” itself: the Three Kingdoms material of the Baidi story, the literary record that made Fengjie’s name, and the deep archaeology of the Qutang country. For a county whose scenery is the sale, the museum is the counterweight: the people who wrote the poems and garrisoned the gate.

Fengjie’s epithet — 诗城, the poem city — is earned by volume: the gorge’s writers, from Li Bai to Du Fu to the Bamboo-Branch singers, left a record dense enough to name a city by. The museum assembles that record in objects: the Three Kingdoms material of the Baidi entrustment, the local finds that anchor the Qutang country’s past, and the documentary trail of the poems themselves. The post-reservoir galleries carry the story forward, holding what the new Yangtze level took from the old river towns.

The museum is the county’s rain plan and its first-stop plan — locals bring visiting relatives here before the Baidi cruise, which is the correct order: the objects first, the gate second. Allow two hours; the Three Kingdoms galleries are the spine, and the labels are good.

flowcloud would say that the county’s gate is famous and its poems are the reason — and that the free museum is where the poems keep their receipts.
