开州故城 (Kāizhōu gùchéng) lines the shore of Hanfeng Lake in Kaizhou, Chongqing — a living museum where Han-Tang, Ming-Qing and Republican-era buildings (汉唐/明清/民国) stand on the same street. It is less a restored set than a working old town, still home to the people who keep its lanes alive.
