刘伯承同志纪念馆 (Liú Bóchéng tóngzhì jìniànguǎn) stands in Kaizhou District, Chongqing, the home town of one of the People’s Liberation Army’s ten founding marshals. It is the core of the district’s red-landmark circuit and holds national first-class museum status.
The memorial hall pairs the marshal’s personal effects with a 3D holographic battle display (全息战役展) that walks visitors through his campaigns. Steps away, the former residence keeps the plain records of a farm-born boy who rose to command an army.
A few kilometres out, in Zhàodū and Zhōudū villages (赵都/周都村), the birth-place farmhouse still stands — mud walls and grey tiles (青瓦泥墙) much as they were in the Qing era. It is the quiet half of the story, the part before the uniforms and the medals.

What the Locals Know
The memorial hall and residence are closed on Mondays, open the rest of the week, with the former residence in the outer villages reachable on the same visit.
